We were contacted by this corporate to fill the shoes of one of their longterm lawyers who was moving within the corporate network to the Sydney office.  This was an exciting role within a small legal team that brought with it enormous responsibility, with a tremendous international scope.  It also required a very interesting skills split between mainstream M&A/commercial skills and very strong, up-to-date employment experience.

Given the very specific requirements and PBI's strong brand, it was felt that a strategically worded advertised campaign would be the best approach, although one of the early front runners was actually the product of a search rather than the advert.  Through several twists and turns (!), we and PBI were eventually delighted to fill the role very successfully with a candidate who had spent the bulk of her career with a leading US firm as an international M&A lawyer, but who was then in-house with a government institution as an employment lawyer.  This candidate started in the summer and has already taken full responsibility for certain geographic regions in PBI's international network.
