Due to significant growth in their UK operations and a decision to move into the European market, the need for a General Counsel to manage the current legal team became apparent. The role would be focused on both legal and company secretarial work, with an emphasis on strategic legal advice to the executives.

The position offered a broad remit of commercial and corporate work, supplemented by managerial responsibilities and executive level decision making. It was of prime importance that the candidate would be able to develop relationships with the executives and offer non-biased strategic legal advice.

Due to the delicate nature of this hire and the effect it would have on the current legal team, a search was implemented to find the best possible candidate. The result was two exceptional candidates through to final stages.
