Our client is a market leader on both sides of the Atlantic in the technology sector and had recently added a team in Asia to its global offering. With an outstanding reputation for global outsourcing work, the brief was to extend the team’s expertise and to develop "critical mass" transactional capabilities through the development of the wider transactional commercial technology practice, in line with the corporate practices of the London partners. This was of key importance to the London office as a whole, in order to take advantage of work from both its US and Asian networks.
Our client already knew most of the major names in the market which narrowed down the number of potential targets on the agreed A list. We and they were delighted that we were able to persuade a young, entrepreneurial partner from a major City and international law firm to move to our client.
