The client wanted to extend its capabilities in technology/IP/life sciences by developing "critical mass" transactional capabilities. The brief was to target successful partners who had developed a reputation in one of the firm’s key sectors.
Our research quickly showed that there was a clear market leading team undertaking corporate finance work in the life sciences sector. The team leader was already Head of the London Corporate Department and European Head of Life Sciences at his firm and therefore it took eighteen months to persuade him and his colleagues to join our client.
