Head of Restructuring – Partner

Our client is looking to hire an individual who is recognised for corporate recovery and restructuring work, who has the ability to develop the team and the necessary skills to market and cross sell within the business. A clear goal of the group is to fast track their strategic objectives of increasing the team’s profile as well as developing an increased market share of work from the banks. Alongside the long standing bank panel relationships, a unique benefit of this role is that the individual will also be seen as an integral and pivotal partner in driving the London finance group forward in an environment where finance is treated as core to the business model.

Any individual considered for this role will need to show an ability and track record for developing relationships and business from their own contacts, as well as the ambition to target other corporate, banking, accountancy and financial services clients of the firm. They will be encouraged and supported to cultivate new business opportunities and client relationships. The individual will need a commercial attitude, combined with excellent technical skills, with the ambition and energy to assist in the continued success and development of the finance group.

Experience of working on recognised restructuring deals is a definite requirement, but one will also need to bring an ability to manage a team. The corporate recovery group has strong panel relationships with the banks as well as IP’s and lenders of last resort. This client base, as well as the additional contacts that one would be expected to bring across, will provide an excellent bed of clients from which to target further business.

The management supporting the new hire understand that expectations will need to be carefully managed. The firm recognises that the growth may not be immediate due to current market conditions, and that the individual will need a realistic timeframe in which to reach the strategic goals of the group. This support is what differentiates this role from others in the market, as the firm understands the time it takes to integrate new hires into the business. Those individuals who feel that they do not have the right level of support in their current firm, will find that this firm is committed to investing heavily in this hire and the banking and finance team as a whole.
