Morrison & Foerster (MoFo) has beefed up its London technology practice with the hire of Chris Coulter from Ashurst. ...

Coulter’s move coincides with the hire of two Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partners, who will launch MoFo’s structured finance practice in London.

Alistair Maughan, head of MoFo’s global sourcing group, said: "[Coulter] reinforces the outsourcing offering and brings a broader IT contract capability."

The move reunites Coulter and Maughan, who previously worked together at Theodore Goddard and DLA Piper.

After years of inactivity MoFo’s London team has undergone a recruitment drive in the past two years. The firm has launched tax, technology and corporate teams with hires from firms such as Shaw Pittman, Simmons & Simmons and Weil Gotshal & Manges."
