Professional Indemnity Partner
Legal Week - 19th October 2006
Reed Smith has hired a new litigation partner for its City arm, taking professional indemnity (PI) specialist Catherine May from the London branch of insurance specialist Davies Lavery.
May’s practice covers a broad litigation base including complex disputes, public/product liability, film finance, property and fraud work. Her PI work focuses on construction and architecture companies as well as a full range of professional service clients.
May joined the US firm’s City arm earlier this month after a seven-year spell at Davies Lavery. She joins a European litigation practice that will number 90 lawyers when Reed Smith’s merger with City firm Richards Butler goes live on 1 January, 2007.
